Janet Dixon Mcintosh

Janet Dixon McIntosh, age 89 of Nicholasville, KY passed away at St. Joseph Medical Center on Saturday, November 24, 2012. She was born in Hamilton on September 17, 1923 the daughter of James and Hilda Dixon. On May 2, 1942 in Hamilton Janet married James Sherman McIntosh, who preceded her in death in 1969.

She is survived by a son, Michael (Tracey) McIntosh of Sarasota, Fl; four daughters, Patricia (Jeff) Queen and Janice Cox both of Nicholasville, Ky, Linda (Kingman Strohl) McIntosh of Shaker Heights, Oh, and Barbara (Steve) Kain of Bradenton, Fl; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Anna, and Madeleine Strohl, Katherine Queen, Steven, Hilary, and Carly Kain; a great-grandchild, Britton Edwards; two brothers, Robert Dixon of Florida, and Jack Dixon of Michigan; and a sister, Patricia (Tom) Schul of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jim Dixon, and a son-in-law, Samuel Cox.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue on Tuesday, November 27 at 2:00PM. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM.
