Jeff was one of a kind-a true creative free spirit with an infectious joy and sense of humor who was a friend to countless people. He was an incredible photographer whose work was once on display at the Columbus Museum of Art. He was one year short of finishing his dream of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design at Miami University, where he was a full-time student. He was so proud to be making the Dean’s list and to be a first-generation college student.
He was passionate about gathering others, creating community, and making others feel welcome regardless of their background. Jeff was gifted musically and was involved in various ministries over the years including leading worship and church planting. He had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed traveling with his wife and kids to beautiful places to explore and photograph, especially a memorable Airstream trip taken along the East coast.
But mostly, his wife and kids meant the world to him. He was preceded in death by his father Melvin and brother Melvin, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Kristina (nee Percival), sons Elijah (14) Mattais (12) and Liam (10), his mother Rosetta, his sisters Natasha (Connie) Schepflin, Danielle Jones with nieces Alana Buck and Cece Schepflin and a host of extended family and friends who were family to him.
