Jimmy W. Tatum, age 71 of Hamilton, passed away at Bethesda North Hospital on Monday, December 21, 2020. Jimmy was born in Richmond, Kentucky on February 26, 1949 to Boyd James and Betty (nee Nunn) Tatum. Jimmy served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. On June 6, 1970, he married the love of his life, Elsie Clemmons. Jimmy retired from Champion International Paper after 42 years of service. Jimmy enjoyed riding his Harley with his brothers, hunting and gardening around his home. Above all, Jimmy loved his family, especially his grandkids.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elsie Tatum; his children, Melissa (Matt Cotcamp) Walden and Jimmy (Ann) Tatum; his grandchildren, Courtney Walden, Brock and Cade Tatum; his siblings, Pam (Jimmy) Walton, Amy (the late Mike) Garrett and Chuck (Sissy) Dunaway; his sister-in-laws, Alice and Terry Tatum; and many nieces and nephews, family members and friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd James Tatum and Betty (Charles) Dunaway; and his brothers, Boyd, George and Tommy Tatum.
Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio. Military Honors to be held at 7:45 PM.
