Johnie “Grey Wolf” Gross, age 65 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022. He was born in Winchester, Kentucky on December 27, 1956 to Troy Gross and Sue (Brandenburg) Gross. Johnie graduated from Garfield Senior High in 1974 and married the love of his life, Pam King, the following year in March of 1975. He spent years ministering to the homeless in the community and worked for 20+ years in road construction. Johnie loved music, fishing, billiards, and metal detecting.
Johnie is survived by his wife, Pam Gross; his daughter, Tanica (Thomas Burton) Gross; one granddaughter, Lyndsay (Alexis Taylor) Taylor; one grandson, John Burton; two sisters, Rena (Kevin) Miller and Pamela Gross; one niece, Breeanne (Josh) Booth; two nephews, Brad (Stephanie) and Kenny Allen; one cousin, Patricia Brandenburg (Cara); and numerous other relatives and friends. Johnie was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Sue Gross; one brother, Alvin Gross; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com
