Johnny Peal Jr., age 83 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. Johnny was born in Richmond, Kentucky on September 5, 1937 to John Fletcher and Delora Peel. On May 1, 1959, he married the love of his life, Janet Waters. He retired from SOS in Hamilton, Ohio, after many years of service. Johnny loved fishing and was known for his famously secret fish stew recipe.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 61 years, Janet L. Peal; his children, Thomas (Lisa) Peal, Sheila (James) Harbaum, Daniel Peal, Donna (Darrell Stephenson) Peal, Johnny Darrell (Leah Bowling) Peal, Timothy Peal and Patricia (Mark) Crouch; his grandchildren, Elesha, Cassandra, Jennifer, Michael, David, Shawna, Schyanna, Sterling and Barron; his dear cousins, Wilma and Debbie; and his many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; his grandchildren, Tabitha and Brian Peal; his siblings, Ruby, Frank, Agnes and Francis.
Visitation will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Service to follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wendell Coning officiating. Memorial contributions can be made in Johnny’s name to the funeral home.
