June Marie Woodward

June Marie Woodward, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, September 10, 2022. June was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 31, 1935 to Lee and Ethel (Youngman) Jamison. June met Sam at Highland Dairy Restaurant. Then went to work as a waitress for S.S. Kreske (now Kmart) for about 10 years. On February 24, 1962, she married the love of her life, Joseph Samuel Woodward. They lived in Hamilton, Ohio until 1987. They then moved to Cleveland, Ohio where Sam completed his work career at General Motors. Following Sam’s passing in 2010, June remained in Cleveland until 2017 when she moved back to Hamilton. She enjoyed playing BINGO with her neighbors and UNO with her kids and grandkids. June also enjoyed gardening and cooking.

June is survived by her children, Lynn (Doug) Smith and Steve Woodward; her granddaughters, Hannah (Tyler) Metzger and Abby Smith; her siblings, Lois Secrest, Harold (Jan) Jamison and Edythe Wyatt; and many nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, Joseph Samuel Woodward; and her brother, Ray Jamison.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio. Celebration of Life will be held following visitation at 12:00 PM.  Memorial contributions can be made to Queen City Hospice.
