Mark, age 59, passed away in his Fairfield Township home on Monday, December 13th, 2021. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 5, 1962, the son of Eugene Hoskins and Phoebe June (Seal) Hoskins, both of whom preceded him in death.
Mark was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He is survived by many loving family members including: sister, Eugena (Tim Conley) Hoskins; brother, Michael (Sherry) Hoskins; niece, Chelsie Hoskins; niece, Christina Schwartz; nephew, Daniel (Jessica) Schwartz; niece, Michelle (Jordan) Johnson; nephews, Jeremy (Samm) Burns, and Justin (Ashley) Burns; as well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Mark graduated from Fairfield High School and went on to achieve a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Miami University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. In his youth, he served his community through the Princeton Pike Church of God in the Shekinah Youth Choir. He gave many years of service as a registered nurse: at Mercy Hospital Hamilton, where he began nursing; and at Mercy Hospital Fairfield, where he managed the Med-Surg floor. His last position was at HCR Manor Care, where he was the case manager over several facilities. Mark believed in his community and always sought to make it better for everyone.
Mark loved animals and would have told you the best dog in the world was his Rottweiler, Shelby. He adored the sunsets along St. Pete Beach in Florida and found God’s handiwork in their vivid colors. He loved to look to the stars and wonder over the vastness and glory of space. He also loved listening to music and singing his heart out. More than anything, Mark was a staunch advocate and a wise confidant for all who were lucky enough to be loved by him. His legacy, love, and influence will never be forgotten.
In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held. If so desired, please make donations in his memory to support future medical professionals through the University of Cincinnati Foundation.
