Nellie Pearl Hooker, age 74 of Fairfield, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, September 6, 2018. She was born in Manchester, Kentucky on September 28, 1943 the daughter of Fred and Rufena (Lunsford) Gibson. Nellie was a member of the Fairfield Church of God. On November 17, 1961 in Jellico, Tennessee she married Lester Hooker.
She is survived by her husband, Lester Hooker; three daughters, Lisa Hooker, Sheila Hooker, and Stephanie Rae; two grandsons, Zachariah Lockhart and Anthony Williams; one great granddaughter, Kinley Pearl Lockhart; her sister-in-law, Sandee Gibson Stamper; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Gibson; her mother and stepfather, Rufena and Omus Smith; and brother, Johnny Lane Gibson.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, Hamilton on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 12:30 PM with Rev. Bob Maggard officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the funeral home.
