Patricia A. Baker

Patricia Ann (Patty) Baker, a lifelong resident of Hamilton, Ohio, died Saturday the 18th of July at Fort Hamilton Hospital. Born the 30th of January 1942 in Hamilton Ohio, Patty attended Hamilton High School before putting her education on hold to start a family. Patty would later go on to earn her General Education Diploma (GED) after her children reached adulthood. Her journey toward earning her GED was one of her proudest moments and she believed it to be one of her greatest accomplishments. Patty worked several jobs during the course of her life – all with the goal of providing for her children and others. She worked as an administrative professional at Frank’s Auto Body and Glass for over twenty years. Later in her professional life, Patty switched careers and worked in Environmental Services at Fort Hamilton Hospital until her retirement. Patty enjoyed being around her friends and family more than anything else in life. Her tireless dedication to her children, grandchildren, and other loved ones was without equal. She impacted the lives of so many and will be greatly missed. Patty also enjoyed dancing, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and crossword puzzles. She was an excellent card player, a skill she learned from her late father, Joseph Wahl. She was an avid sports fan. Patty loved to root for the Kentucky Wildcats, Cincinnati Reds, and Cincinnati Bengals. Her legacy will be the lives she touched and the people that can say their lives are better because they had the pleasure of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Wahl. Patty is survived by her children, Bob of Lexington, KY and Jeff and wife Audrey of Hamilton, OH. She will also be remembered by 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren: Bobby (Crystal) and their son Maddox, Jimmy (Sarah) and their daughters Lily and Lucy, and Patty (Scott) and their son Levi. Also remembering her are her sisters: Janet and husband Carl Wyatt, Lois and husband Gary Buchanan, Garnett and husband Darryl Wyatt, and Rhonda Woods and Paul Janecek. She will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Michael J. Colligan Lodge at Veterans Park - 20 New London Rd. - on Friday July 24th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrier Project.
