Ricardo Lamont Lewis

Ricardo Lamont Lewis, age 58 of Fairfield, passed away at Mercy Hospital--Fairfield on Friday, October 2, 2020. Ricardo was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 30, 1962 to Reginald Lewis and Barbara Jean Harvey Lewis. Ricardo worked for Everdry Waterproofing; who was an amazing company to work for and was so good to him over the years.

Ricardo is survived by his father, Reginald Lewis; sister, Felicia (Bruce) Rogers; brothers, Gene (Jackie) Thompson, Lee – Shawn Williams; daughter, Shauni; girlfriend, Camilla; uncles, Herman, Michael, Tony; aunt, Deborah, niece, Stephanie; nephews, Michael, Darnell, D’Andre, D’Angelo, Marquis, Issiah and Josiah; and a host of cousins and friends. Ricardo was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Lewis; grandmother, Francis Harvey; grandfathers, Lee Harvey and Charles Banister; aunts, Clara, Joyce, and Monica; uncles, Junior and Raymond.

Life is truly a gift and now it’s time for me to give it back. While it’s hard to say goodbye to those I love, I am blessed to have lived a full life since I’ve learned what it means to really live life to the fullest. I met my daughter, Shauni.  She gave me three grandchildren; Samantha Anaiah L. Hatten, Kaden Wyatt D. Hatten, Tori Smith Jr., and Cai Emani Houston who is on the way. I traveled to new places and sat in the night air. Though my time has come to an end, I hope my friends and family continue pushing forward together. Each moment matters, so make it count. We will meet again. Ricardo!
