Rick Slade

Rick Slade, age 63 of Ross Township, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Rick was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 17, 1959 to the late Clarence Slade and Gina Muhlenkamp. Rick was a chef at many local establishments over the years. Even at home, he made sure to garnish his dishes, famously saying, “It’s all about the presentation.” The only thing greater than his love for cooking was his love for his family. He would always make sure that when you came to visit, you left with a full heart and a full stomach.

Rick will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 31 years, Sue (Acore) Slade; his sons, Alex Slade and Jake Slade; his siblings, Eddie & Linda Slade, Tina Slade-Swann, Walt Slade, Phil Slade, and Laurie Acore; his nieces, Savanna (Sean), Audrey (Ryan), and Lacie; his nephew, Keenan; as well as many extended family members and close friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Tony Slade.

A Celebration of Rick’s Life will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
