Robert Mark Houston

Robert Mark Houston, age 64 of Marion, Indiana passed away at St. Francis Hospital & Health Services on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 9:14 AM. He was born in London, Kentucky on April 26, 1946 the son of Raymond and Edna (Salvadori) Houston. Robert was employed as a tow motor operator at General Motors, retiring in 1999. On April 24, 1981 in Hamilton he married Sandra Hendrickson.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Houston of Marion, Indiana; two sons, John (Alma) Houston of Otto, North Carolina and Daniel (Jamie) Houston of Maryland; a daughter, Suzi (Steve) Tuttle of Rockwall, Texas; his mother, Edna Houston of Hamilton; four stepchildren, Joella (Stephen) Bennett of Buford, Georgia, Teresa (Eric) Coon of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Jason (Annissa) Bartlett of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Jennifer (Alex) Houwing of Canton, Georgia; two brothers, Eldon (Shirley) Houston and Tim Houston, both of Hamilton; two sisters, Elaine Heitfeld of Fairfield and Martha (Tim) Wisecup of Hamilton; 20 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Jimmy Ray Houston; and a stepdaughter, Rhonda Edmondson.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Tom Serey of First Baptist Church of Auburn officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
