Robert S. "Jay" Parsley, age 88, passed away on January 8, 2016 at Berkeley Square. He was born on October 5, 1927 in Laurel County, KY to Robert and Pearl (Cochran) Parsley. Robert retired from Mosler Safe Co. in 1989. He enjoyed metal detecting, woodworking, and had a great sense of humor.
He is the proud father of the late Robert L. Parsley, grandfather of Ryan (Jennifer) Parsley, father-in-law of Betty Parsley, loving husband of the late Priscilla Parsley and children, Joyce Vaughn, Betty Anglin, Minnie Adamson, and the late John Martin. He is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Hickory Flat Cemetery at 1PM.
