Rosalie Shepard, age 85 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Rosalie was born in Hyden, Kentucky on April 13, 1939 to Rubin and Callie (nee Fields) Colwell. Rosalie was known for being such a positive person and loving everyone the same. She was a great mother and grandmother, loving sister and aunt, and was a joy to be around. Rosalie enjoyed singing and dancing and loved being with all her family and friends. She had a laugh that would not quit. Rosalie loved the outdoors and fishing.
Rosalie is survived by her children, Deborah Colwell, Kim (Chris Sommers) Hoskins and Terry (the late Rhonda) Shepard; her grandchildren, James Schultes, Heather (Tommy) Senters, Tyler (Kelly) Shepard and Trent Shepard; her great-grandchildren, Justus, Lux, Donny, Rylan, Jackson, Harrison and Dawson; her great great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Kason and Jackson; and many dear friends and family. Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, Rubin and Callie Colwell; her husband, Theral Shepard; her siblings, Clarence, Eureka, Eunice, Francis, Juanita, Annalee, Herbert, Bill, James and Gertrude; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bobby Gulley officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
