Ruby Scott Obituary

Ruby I. Scott, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Thursday, September 6, 2018. She was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on January 22, 1932 the daughter of Ed and Verla (Ball) Miller. On June 21, 1947 in Covington, Kentucky she married Thomas Scott and he preceded her in death in 2003. Ruby was employed as a nurses’ aide at Golden Years Nursing Center, retiring in 1997.

She is survived by five children, Carl Scott, Lonnie (Sally) Scott, Jim Scott, Jerry (DeRonda) Scott, and Lisa (Jerry) Huckaby; twelve grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings; and one grandson, Jonathon Scott.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
