Sally Hughes Obituary

Sally Jo Hughes, age 59 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, August 3rd, 2020. She was born on March 4th, 1961 in Clay County, Kentucky, to her father, Daniel Parker and her mother, Rhoda Allen Parker. She moved to Hamilton, Ohio with her sister Ann Parker Reese and brother-in-law Herman Reese where she planted her roots and started her own family and career. Sally received her Bachelor's in Science degree for nursing and worked as an R.N. for the majority of her life. Sally enjoyed traveling most of all. Sally was married to Kenneth Bradley Hughes, who proceeded her in death on March 30th, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law.

Sally was survived by her loving companion Mark McLean; her son, Jason Hughes; her daughters, Chrissie Rowland (Frank Rowland the 3rd) and Nikki Hughes; her step-daughter, Emma Hughes; her grandchildren, Angelina Barrett and Hannah Apgar; her step-grandchildren, CeCelia and Madison Rowland, LJ and Antonio; her "Fur" Grandchildren, Mya, Sugar, Kennedy and Pepe; and her own "fur" children, Bruiser, Ellie and Mandy. She is also survived by her sister, Loretta Parker Metcalf (Glenn Metcalf) and 2 brothers, Blaine Parker (Lucille Parker) and Bill Parker (Gladys Webb). Sally was resilient, loving and had a great sense of humor! She will be truly missed and will live on in the hearts and memories of the many people who love her.

Funeral services will be held at Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, August 10th, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Harlan Cheyenne Metcalf, Sally's nephew, officiating. Burial will follow at Reily Cemetery. Visitation will be held before the service in the funeral home from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
