Scott Edward "Hillbilly" Carver

Scott Edward "Hillbilly" Carver, age 54 of Oxford passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 8:15 AM. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on December 1, 1955 the son of Teddy and Anna Belle (Forshey) Carver. Scott was the owner/operator of Carver Trucking. He was a wonderful, loving, kind and giving person. On March 22, 2003 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee he married Linda Hall.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Carver of Oxford; his mother, Anna Belle Carver of Portsmouth, Ohio; a stepson, Joseph Burris of Oxford; three stepdaughters, Nicki Brown of Oxford, Wendy (Mark) Schlensker of Cincinnati, and Betty Burris of Oxford; three sisters, Cathy (Warren) Frye, Barbara Cablish, both of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Rebecca (Doug) Moore of Columbus, Ohio; and four step-grandchildren, Regan, Thomas, Zane, and Morgan. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service will be held at the Oxford Church of God, 5450 College Corner Pike, on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 7:00 PM with Ray Chenault officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00. Cremation will be held.
