Sheila Heinrich of Poplar Grove, IL passed away unexpectedly in her home on the evening of September 8, 2021, at the age of 66. Sheila was born to George and Louisa Downey on July 13, 1955 in Manchester, KY. In 1963 her family moved to Hamilton, OH where she would finish school and graduate from Garfield High School. She married Jeffrey Heinrich on February 5, 1974 and together they raised their 3 children. Sheila spent many years caring for children at Tiny Times Daycare in Hamilton before she and her husband relocated to Poplar Grove, IL. where she worked at Payless Shoes.
Sheila will best be remembered for her huge heart and caring soul. She always welcomed everyone with open arms. Her family came first above anything else. She was dearly loved by all who knew her. Sheila enjoyed quilting and her infamous collection of pigs. She loved to spoil her grandboys and she would beam with joy whenever they were around.
Sheila is preceded by her parents George and Louisa, her brothers Homer, Carl, and BB, and her son Josh. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, son Joe (wife Amy), daughter Angela, daughter-in-law Polly Coons, her grandsons Tyson, Joshua, Carter, and Westin. Her sisters Betty and Kathyrn, brother-in-law Jerry (wife Betty), brother-in-law John (wife Rosie).
Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm on Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Brown, Dawson, Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave Hamilton, OH. There will be a short service following at 1pm and then we will proceed to Rose Hill Burial Park where she will be laid to rest beside her son Josh. Following the services the family would like to invite everyone to join them at the Michael Colligan Lodge located at Veterans Park, 20 New London Rd. Hamilton OH for food and celebration of Sheila's life.
