Steven Porter Obituary

Steven Kirby Porter, age 60 of Hamilton, passed away in Knoxville, Tennessee on Sunday, April 4, 2021. Steven was born in Sedalia, Missouri on December 28, 1960 to Robert E. and Quetta M. (nee Thomas) Porter. On March 27, 1981, he married Janet K. Rufener in Olympia, Washington. Steve was an Environmental Safety and Health Manager for most of his career working in heavy construction environments. Steve was an avid hunter, fisherman, antique collector and refinisher, cook, nature enthusiast and was truly a jack of all trades.

Steve is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janet K. Porter; his son, Sean M. Porter; his parents, Robert and Quetta Porter; his siblings, Jeffrey Scott (Dayna) Porter, Jennifer (Mike) Ratliff and Matthew (Mickie) Porter; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany M. Porter; and his grandparents, Russell & Golda Thomas and Tom & Eunice Porter.

Visitation will be held at Hamilton Christian Center, 1940 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Hamilton Christian Center at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at New London Cemetery in Shandon, Ohio.
