Tammy Marie (Carmack) Herd

Tammy Marie (Carmack) Herd was called home to her Heavenly Father and family on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Tammy was born on February 15, 1975 to Ernest and Delena Carmack, baby sister to Jennifer (Carmack) Lee.

Tammy was an adventurous, spontaneous, and loving soul. She was brilliant, and had earned three degrees from the University of Cincinnati with Honors: nuclear medicine, MRI in residence, and pharmacy. She excelled in college, was Student President, and volunteered. In her free time, Tammy loved to fly planes and shoot pool. Tammy married her high school sweetheart, Rob. Tammy and Rob started dating in 1990 when Tammy was 15 years old and Rob was 17 years old. Tammy and Rob married on April 1, 2005. She was incredibly proud of her sons, Austin (born January 20, 1995) and Luke (born October 17, 2005). Tammy had a huge heart; she loved everyone fiercely and unconditionally—unless someone hurt her loved ones. She opened her home to anyone in need of a hug and motherly love.

Tammy leaves behind her husband and soul mate of thirty-two years, Robert Shannon Herd; two sons, Austin (Emily Carnder) and Lucas Herd; sisters, Jennifer (Ben) Lee, Marilyn (Mike) Hunter, Sherree (Tom) Boeddeker; step-sisters, Donna Warren, and Margerie Warnock; step-brother, Davey (LaParasha) Warnock; niece, Ashley Arvin; best friends, Krissy and Greg Gabbard; and many other beloved family members, friends, and pets. Though Tammy never wanted to leave her family on Earth, she was devoted to God and her family finds comfort knowing that she is joining family in Heaven. In her last few weeks, she spent many hours talking with God discussing her Heavenly future, and looking forward to one day being reunited with her family.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Carmack; mother, Delena (Gray) Carmack; step-father, Dave Warnock; and many other beloved aunts, uncles, family members, and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at Redeemer Baptist Church, 3751 Trenton Rd, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Richard Coldiron of Redeemer Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Redeemer Baptist Church.
