Thomas Lee Porrazzo “Grape” age 70 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, June 20, 2021. Tom was born in Lackawanna, NY on July 30, 1950. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Porrazzo (1999) and Mildred (McDonald) Porrazzo (2001). He is survived by his son Michael Porrazzo, daughter Stephanie Porrazzo and 10 grandchildren, Austin, Mercedes, Will, Lexus, Dylan, Shane, Drayce Michael, Shania, Michael, and Ariana.
Tom graduated from Taft high school in Hamilton in 1969. After graduation he launched a successful career in sales spanning over 45 years, eventually settling in as Sales Manager at Aamco Transmission where he worked for 20+ years. Tom was a loving father who spent much of his time with his kids growing up in activities such as baseball, softball and canoeing, along with various trips to parks, festivals and historical landmarks.
Tom was an avid historian, especially when it came to Hamilton. In his latter years he started many popular groups on Facebook including Hamilton West Group (32,000 members) where he enjoyed sharing and interacting about the city’s history and current events. He also loved his many dogs over the years and was very proud of his Italian heritage.
Above all Tom was a devoted father who loved his children and grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by them, along with extended family and friends.
Memorial Mass will be held at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church.
