Tony W. Heaton, age 60 of Trenton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. Tony was born in San Bernardino, California on December 7, 1961. Tony was a mechanic at E-Z-Go Golf Carts for many years before going on to work as a school bus driver for Lakota Local School District. He was a Color Guard Member of the VFW #7670 in Overpeck, Trenton Moose Lodge and proud Teamster Local 100. Tony had a love for hot rods, was a dedicated Mopar man, and was a fan of Journey and the big hair bands of the 80’s. He was known as Lakota’s Tiger by many of his fellow school bus drivers. Above all, Tony loved spending time with his family and will be remembered for his big, kind heart and big bear hugs.
Tony will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Judy Heaton; his daughters, Priscilla (Michael) Redkey and Nichole Heaton; his grandchildren, Ashton, James, Logan, Thaddeus, Kaden, Patty and Kyleigh; his sisters, Kris Kinsey and Cheryl Owens; his many nieces and nephews; extended family members; his close friend and brother, Lance Cowan; and the generations of children that he drove as a school bus driver.
Tony was preceded in death by his mom, Martha Heaton; his birth mother, Sharon Lee (Baker) Sapwell; and his sister, Claudia Marie Sharp.
A Celebration of Tony's Life will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Trenton Moose Lodge, 707 W State St, Trenton, OH 45067.
