Virginia Bryant

Virginia Bryant, age 90 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, September 2, 2018. She was born in Floyd County, Kentucky on November 18, 1927 the daughter of Charles and Icie Mae (Smith) Curnutte. In 1943 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky she married Charlie Bryant and he preceded her in death in 1999. Virginia was a member of Central Baptist Church and was employed as a sales manager at Elder-Beerman for ten years, retiring in 1983.

She is survived by three children, Patricia Moore, Charles R. (Debbie) Bryant, and Richard D. Bryant; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a number of great great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Curnutte; her mother, Icie Mae Cox; a sister, Sybil Bentley; and one granddaughter, Nancy Bryant.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a thank you to Hospice of Hamilton for all their care and support.
