William Dean Day was born to Elmo and Edith Day on August 9, 1952. He was 1 of 7 kids. He passed away on September 25, 2021. During his lifetime he had a few different jobs. He was a custodian for Ross High School. He drove a taxi for Ohio Taxi where he was one of the best that would be called in during bad weather. He was a security guard for Emerson North Hospital. He was an Asst. Manager for Ameristop Food Mart. He worked mostly for and retired from Graphic Packaging where he was a press operator and drove a forklift as well. Graphic Packaging did have a few other names over the years. Which was Manville Paper and Riverwood International paper.
He was preceded in death by the following: Kimberly (Jones) Day 2005, a son Michael Day 2008, his parents, Elmo Day 2005, his mother Edith (Chestnut) 1994, his father-in-law Robert Jones 2014, mother-in-law Virginia (Payne) Jones 1989, also 4 siblings as well sister Betty 2005, sister Clarie 2013, brother Bobby 2015, brother Wayne 2015. He is survived in death by his son William Dean Day Jr. of Miamisburg, OH. His 3 boy Michael, David, and Matthew. He also had an adopted daughter in law Carla Knuf of Middletown, OH. and her son Andrew Knuf. His brother Tony and is sister Janet. His best friend Darrell Roark and his wife Rose. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He always loved telling jokes and would sometimes tell you the same joke over again no matter how he was feeling. He loved taking his wife and kids to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Where they visited a lot. He even made sure that his wife got to see it one last time before she passed away. I remember her calling and telling me how much fun they were having. This trip made her happy. He enjoyed talking to his BBF'S as he called it. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
Funeral services will be at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral home 1350 Millville Ave. Hamilton, OH. 45013. Services will be held on Wednesday October 6, 2021. Visitation is from 12pm-1pm with funeral services following. Family can start showing up at 11am. Then burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
