President/Owner and Licensed Funeral Director
Brian K. Flick is the President and owner of Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, and a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the state of Ohio. Brian was born and raised in Hamilton, and graduated from New Miami High School in 1987. He attended Miami University and CCMS, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Sciences in 1992. Brian K. Flick began his career at the funeral home in 1994, is a member of the Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, and the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. A new era for Brown-Dawson-Flick began in July of 2008 when Brian purchased the business after years of faithful service as a director, and also as the General Manager under George and Marie Brown. He resides in Hanover Township with his wife Janine, and two children Aaron and Alexandra.
General Manager and Licensed Funeral Director
David E. Grubb is the General Manager of Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home and is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the state of Ohio. David has been employed with Brown Dawson Flick since 2003 and has served in various roles at the funeral home. David is a graduate of Hamilton High School, and has a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the University of Phoenix, and also an Associate's Degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. David is an active member of the Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, Hamilton Business Professionals, member on the advisory board for Hospice of Cincinnati, member of the National Funeral Directors Association, and the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. David resides in Hamilton with his two daughters, Makenzy and Karly.
Licensed Funeral Director
Liz Rosenbalm, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, began working for Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home in 2015. Liz is a 2011 graduate of Ross High School, has an Associate's Degree from the University of Cincinnati and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2015. Liz attends Fairfield West Baptist Church and resides in Hamilton with her husband, Cory and their two children, Scottie and Brooks.
Licensed Funeral Director
Kyle Hutchinson is a licensed funeral director and embalmer that joined our team in March of 2020. Originally from the South Carolina Lowcountry, Kyle is a 2008 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Kyle lives in Hamilton with his wife, Becky Grey.
Licensed Funeral Director
Emily Walker, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer,
began working for Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home in 2021. She is originally from Northeast Ohio and moved to Cincinnati to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Science. Emily is a Certified Funeral Celebrant, a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, and the Ohio Embalmers Association. Emily enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and dog Chili.
Licensed Funeral Director/Advanced Planning Specialist
Michael Gedert is a Funeral Director and the Advanced Planning Specialist at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home. He began working at the funeral home in 2019. He is a graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and has been an Ohio licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1982. Since getting his Funeral Director license he has also served as a funeral home manager, an advanced planning manager and a preneed insurance company account executive. Michael is a member of, and has served on several committees with, the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. He has also been involved with Disaster Mortuary Response for over 3 decades on a state and federal level. He has responded to 15 disasters including the World Trade Center and Hurricane Katrina. He resides in Hamilton with his wife Vicki and is the proud father of two and has three grandchildren.
Licensed Funeral Director/Aftercare Specialist
Kim Ogle earned her Ph.D. from Miami
University in the Department of Sociology and Gerontology, studying end-of-life
issues for older adults. She was then awarded a Postdoctoral Fellow with the
Scripps Gerontology Center, at Miami University. During that time, she
developed a curriculum regarding end-of-life care for Certified Nursing
Assistants who work in long term care facilities. In 2019 Kim earned the certification
of Death Doula from the Conscience Dying Institute in Boulder, CO.
Additionally, she has received the designation of Fellow in Thanatology from
the Association of Death Education and Counseling. Kim is also a licensed
funeral director and embalmer and worked for Smith & Ogle Funeral Home,
later Ogle-Paul R. Young Funeral Home, for over 15 years. She and her partner
live in a log cabin on 40 acres with six goats, three dogs and six cats.
Secretary
Janine Flick just joined the team at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral home after selling Real Estate for over twenty years. Janine was born in Dayton, Ohio and grew up in Miami County but has lived in the area since 1991. She and Brian Flick married in 1996 and have two children together, Aaron and Alexandra.
Office Manager
Nicki started working at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home in May of 2015. Nicki has worked in the funeral industry for 9 years. A 1990 graduate of Hamilton High School, Nicki attended Miami University where she completed several administrative courses. Nicki and her husband Scott reside in Cincinnati, Ohio and together they enjoy their dog Gunnar, the outdoors, camping, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Facilities Manager
Cathy started working at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home in June 2015. Cathy previously worked at the Kroger Co. for 8 years where she was the Assistant Drug GM. She graduated from Cosmetology School in 1980. Cathy grew up in Hamilton, Ohio and currently resides in Trenton, Ohio. Cathy is a member of the Calvary Church. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her 4 sons and 6 grandchildren.
Administrative Assistant
Regina joined the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home Team in
February of 2022 as an Executive Administrative Assistant. Regina is a native of Oxford, Ohio and a 1984
graduate of Talawanda High School. Before relocating to Cincinnati, OH she
spent 2 years at Miami Co-op. After
attending Southwestern College of Business, Regina embarked on a 25- year
career in the Insurance Industry. With her, she brings a vast knowledge of client
relations and customer service, which funeral home staff members were able to
experience first-hand when working with Regina for years on insurance related matters.
Regina now resides in Springdale, OH. She has three grown children and three
grandchildren whom she to loves to spend time with. She also enjoys hosting
family gatherings, comedy, music, and concerts.
Funeral Director Assistant
Phillip started working at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home in the spring of 2010. He was born in Hamilton and later moved to Miamisburg, Ohio. After graduating from Miamisburg High School he enlisted with the United States Army and proudly served our nation for three years. He's an active member of the AMVETS Post 1983 and Fraternal Order of the Eagles 3986 in Hamilton. Phillip currently resides in Hamilton.
Funeral Director Assistant
Jordan began his time at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home in 2012. After
relocating to Virginia for 4 years, he rejoined the Hamilton team in 2021. Jordan is a
2006 graduate of Edgewood High School and has an Associates Degree in nursing.
He and his wife Brooke are Associate Pastors at Calvary Church in Hamilton.
Jordan resides in Hamilton with his wife and their dog Justin. In his free
time, Jordan loves to hunt and fish.
Funeral Director Assistant
Glen started working at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home in the summer of 2019. After graduating from Talawanda High School, he enlisted with the United States Navy. Glen also worked for a local telephone company for over 30 years. He is an Oxford resident where he lives with his wife Kathy.
Funeral Director Assistant
Nathan Powers started working at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home in August of 2019. Nathan was born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio. In 2019 he graduated from Hamilton High School. Nathan is currently completing online prerequisite courses with the goal of attending Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Nathan is a member of Fairfield West Baptist Church and currently resides in Hamilton, Ohio.
